What:  Bike MS: Traffic Free Ride, a 13 mile route for participants 12 years of age and older.

When:  Sunday, May 20, 2012. Please be at Bethpage State Park by 8:00 a.m. to check-in and to start the ride.

Why:    To create a world free of MS

Where:  The start and finish will take place at the picnic area parking lot at Bethpage State Park. The address is 99 Quaker Meeting House Road, Farmingdale, NY. Please call (516) 249-0700 for directions. The ride will then continue through the Massapequa Preserve.

Important Information:
There is a registration fee of $25.00 per person and a $50.00 minimum donation requirement. T-shirts will be given to all riders who have submitted the $50.00 minimum donation requirement by May 20, 2012. *While supplies last.

Host your own Wrap-Around Event to benefit your Bike MS efforts.

What is a Wrap Around Event: A Wrap-Around Event is a fundraising event you plan and host to help increase your Bike MS fundraising.

Wrap-Around Events are a popular and fun way for individuals and teams to meet their fundraising goals!

• You can plan any kind of event yourself - a dinner party at your home, a garage or bake sale, a karaoke night, a poker tournament, a silent auction, etc. and donate the proceeds toward your Bike MS fundraising efforts.
   
• Team up with a local bar or restaurant for a fundraising night. Ask a local venue if they would be willing to donate a percentage of their profits from one night to your fundraising efforts. They may even be willing to display MS information or brochures on the tables too to help raise awareness AND money. There are HUNDREDS of bars and restaurants in our chapter area so don’t be shy in asking.

We can support you in your event planning:

• We can send you materials about multiple sclerosis and about the National MS Society - be sure to incorporate the mission in your event!
• We can provide the Bike MS logo for you to use (within our branding guidelines). Please note all logo usage must be pre-approved by the Society staff.
• A Society staff member may be able to attend your event.
• Tell others about your event by posting it to our Upcoming Wrap-Around Events page. To submit your event, please send the event information to Jaclyn Kramer at jaclyn.kramer@nmss.org and we will contact you once your event has been added to our calendar.
